Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a School Nurse position at a post-secondary school program, providing one-on-one nursing care for a nonverbal adult student in a community-based setting.

Details

• Works at a post-secondary/GOALS school program serving adult students (age 22+)
• One-on-one caseload with a single nonverbal student
• Role involves accompanying the student on daily bus transportation for community-based activities, including riding to and from pickup and drop-off locations
• Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, 7:15am–3:45pm
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience working with nonverbal or special needs populations preferred
• Comfort with community-based and mobile work environments required

Additional Information

• Nurse will start each day at the school, ride transportation to pick up the student, accompany the student throughout the day for community events, and return to the school with transportation
