Job Title: Registered Nurse – Telemetry Float Pool (Night Shift)

Location: Chandler, AZ 85224
Assignment Type: 13-Week Contract
Pay Rate: $50 – $55/hr on W2
Shift: 12-Hour Night Shifts
Start Date: ASAP

Job Description:

We are seeking experienced and adaptable Telemetry RNs to join a high-acuity float pool in Chandler, Arizona. This is a demanding, fast-paced role that requires the ability to float between multiple Telemetry and Med-Surg units — including potential ICU holds, Observation Floors, and both Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses.

You must have recent experience titrating cardiac drips and interpreting EKGs. Floating to different units or campuses may be required — including in the middle of a shift. A reliable attitude, strong clinical judgment, and excellent adaptability are essential.

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:

• Must pass a Dysrhythmia Exam within 48 hours of offer (max 2 attempts)
• Must pass a Sim Lab (Day 1 of orientation – pass/fail)
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips
• Will float to multiple Tele and Med-Surg units and may cover ICU holds or ER hallway patients
• May float between two campuses (9 miles apart)
• Auto Offer after passing prescreen + exam/sim lab

Required Certifications:

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NIHSS

Float Pool Coverage Units:

You may float across any of the following units:

Cardiac Tele – B3A (32 Beds)

• Ratios: 1:3–4
• Common Patients: Post cath lab, CABG day 2, vascular procedures
• Common Drips: Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine (titrate down only)
• Charge RN: Yes, no patient load
• Scrub Color: Navy

Neuro Tele – A3 (28 Beds)

• Ratios: 1:3–4
• Common Patients: Neuro post-surgical, CVAs, post TPA
• No ICP monitoring
• Scrub Color: Navy

Med-Surg – C5 (32 Beds)

• Common Patients: Ortho, Surgical, Oncology
• Ratios: 1:4
• 80% Surgical (hip/knee), 20% Oncology
• IV Support: House SWAT nurse available
• Weekend Requirement: 4 shifts per 4 weeks

Med-Surg – B2C (29 Beds)

• General Med-Surg with telemetry
• Common Drips: Amio, Cardizem (titrate down only)
• Designated as the new grad training unit

General Job Duties:

• Float as needed across Telemetry and Med-Surg units
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips per protocol
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in varying settings
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient progress
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Must be prepared for mid-shift float or site change with minimal notice

Additional Information:

• Shifts: 12-hour Nights (7PM–7AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holidays: One major and one minor required
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Orientation: 2 days per unit
• Tech Support: 1 PCT per 16 patients
