Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Nurse is responsible for providing care to clients to include but not limited to, administering medication, taking vitals, assessing medical needs.
Essential Duties:

Assisting with the taking and recording of daily client vital signs and assessments

Administering medications and treatments as per provider protocol
-
Assisting with client admissions and discharges
-
Recording client observations and reporting to the medical team as needed
-
Compassionately interacting with the client population to encourage engagement in treatment
-
Maintain a safe and sanitary environment
-
Attending staff trainings and meetings as required by the employer
-
Communicating with the pharmacy as needed
-
Completing client nursing admissions not limited to: intake surveys, blood draws, TB testing, GeneSight swabbing
-
Follows all policies and procedures with regard to client information protection, including alcohol-drug client confidentiality and HIPAA

Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Current unrestricted licensure in GA or TN (as required by facility) as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Able to read, analyze, and interpret policies and directions, and present information effectively, both orally and written
-
Ability to work with both chemically dependent and individuals in psychiatric care in a non-judgmental, compassionate fashion
-
Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other staff as well as with referral sources
-
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions from a wide variety of data and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Experience working with people in recovery and/or in mental health treatment a plus
