We are looking for a full-time LPN or RN Telephone Triage nurse. (THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION) Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and possess a can-do attitude. Typical Hours are Monday, Wednesday Thursday, Friday 8am-5pm. Tuesday, 8-12pm
Previous clinic experience is preferred.
RN/LPN Phone Triage
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician, the RN or LPN functions as a vital member of the healthcare team. Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care for the patient population and their families.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Triage in-coming phone calls from patients, schedule patients for referrals and follow up care as needed.
- Communicating results to patients and following up with questions patient's may have regarding their health.
- Perform basic nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
- Obtain Prior Authorizations for tests such as CT, MRI, Laboratory work.
- Assist rooming nurse as needed by obtaining medical information and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
- Record medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical record.
- Prepare patients for examinations, tests, or treatments and explain procedures.
- Prepare and administer injections, perform routine tests, treat wounds, and change bandages.
- Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines.
- Team player willing to cross train in basic scheduling.
- Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
- Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or physicians' instructions to patients.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
- Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
- Contact medical facilities or departments to schedule patients for tests or admission.
- Communicate with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by the health care provider.
- Provide for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing or Registered Nursing program.
- Must have current/valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state licensing board.
- One (1) year experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting required.
- Proficient computer skills required.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $22.00 - $34.00 per hour
