Job Title: DMC Core Team – Client Representative (Road Design Engineer)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Road Design Engineer to join the DMC Core Team as a Client Representative for a major semi-government infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing road design submissions, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring compliance with Abu Dhabi authority standards and approval procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the client within the DMC core team for all road design and transportation-related matters.
• Review and evaluate road and infrastructure design submissions prepared by consultants.
• Ensure designs comply with Abu Dhabi regulations, standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical design issues.
• Participate in design review meetings, workshops, and technical discussions with project stakeholders.
• Monitor the design development process to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with approved standards.
• Review road geometry, alignment, cross sections, pavement design, and traffic considerations.
• Support the authority submission and approval process for infrastructure works.
• Ensure coordination between road design and other infrastructure utilities.
• Provide technical recommendations to the client regarding road and infrastructure design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSc Civil Engineering).
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in a similar Client Representative / DMC Core Team role in the related industry.
• Road design experience and strong design review capability.
• Minimum 7 years of experience working on projects in Abu Dhabi.
• Previous consultancy experience in Abu Dhabi is required.
• Good understanding of Abu Dhabi regulations and authority requirements.

Authority Knowledge (Preferred)

Familiarity with approval processes and standards of:

• Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport
• Integrated Transport Centre
• Abu Dhabi Distribution Company
• Abu Dhabi Department of Energy

Skills

• Road and highway design review
• Design coordination with multidisciplinary teams
• Authority approvals and regulatory compliance in Abu Dhabi
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Stakeholder coordination and communication
