Road Dispatcher

Duties

• Coordinate and schedule freight pickups and deliveries using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
• Utilize GPS and GIS tools to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve delivery times.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse teams, and clients via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear instructions and updates.
• Monitor fleet management systems to oversee vehicle status, maintenance needs, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Enter data accurately into logistics platforms like AS400 and 3PL systems for shipment tracking, shipping & receiving logs, and dispatch records.
• Analyze transportation data to identify efficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and support supply chain improvements.
• Maintain professional phone etiquette while handling inquiries related to freight status, delivery schedules, or operational concerns.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of GIS, GPS technology, and transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine.
• Excellent analysis skills for interpreting logistics data and making informed dispatch decisions.
• Proven experience in dispatching freight within a supply chain or logistics environment.
• Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, fleet management practices, and 3PL operations.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly over multi-line phone systems.
• Proficiency in data entry with high accuracy using systems like AS400 or Oracle Transportation Management.
• Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining professionalism in phone etiquette and customer interactions. This role is paid and designed for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a thriving logistics operation!

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
