Road Engineer

ISLAND TOWER is seeking an experienced and highly capable Road Engineer to support and execute road and infrastructure construction projects across the UAE. The ideal candidate shall possess strong technical and site execution experience in road works, interlock construction, utility corridor coordination, and authority compliance, with proven experience handling road-related works under RTA or the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEI).

Candidates with previous experience in RTA road projects and/or RTA prequalification will be preferred. Candidates from road and infrastructure contracting companies will be highly preferred as well.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and execute road construction activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
• Manage all aspects of road works, including but not limited to:
• Road formation and subgrade preparation
• Subbase and road base works
• Asphalt paving and reinstatement
• Kerbstone, interlock, and footpath works
• Utility corridor coordination and protection works
• Temporary traffic diversions and traffic management implementation
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, surveyors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure compliance with RTA, Dubai Municipality, DEWA, and other authority NOC requirements.
• Review drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical documents related to road works.
• Coordinate inspections, approvals, and authority requirements for road construction and reinstatement activities.
• Monitor site progress, manpower productivity, equipment utilization, and material consumption.
• Ensure compliance with quality, HSE, and project specifications.
• Assist in tendering, planning, technical proposals, and value engineering related to road infrastructure projects where required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of UAE experience in road and infrastructure construction.
• Strong experience in:
• Road construction
• Asphalt works
• Civil infrastructure execution
• Previous experience with RTA projects is highly preferred.
• Previous RTA approval/ prequalification, or experience handling RTA road permits/NOCs will be highly beneficial.
• Good understanding of RTA standards, Dubai Municipality requirements, utility coordination procedures, and authority approvals.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE Driving License: Preferred / Mandatory

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
