Road Safety Officer

We are looking for a responsible and proactive Assistant Road Safety Officer to join our Oil & Gas field operations team. The candidate will assist in implementing road safety procedures, monitoring driver compliance, conducting vehicle inspections, and supporting daily HSE operations to ensure safe transportation activities across project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing road safety policies and procedures.
• Monitor driver behavior and compliance with company safety standards.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain records.
• Support incident reporting and accident investigation processes.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and client requirements.
• Coordinate with transport and site teams regarding safety matters.
• Conduct toolbox talks and road safety awareness sessions.
• Maintain documentation, reports, and safety checklists.
• Monitor defensive driving practices and fatigue management compliance.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in road safety, transport safety, or HSE within Oil & Gas projects.
• Knowledge of UAE road safety regulations and HSE standards.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• UAE driving license
• Ability to work in remote site locations and rotational schedules.

Preferred Candidates

• Experience in Oil & Gas field operations.
• Familiarity with vehicle tracking systems and transport coordination.
• NEBOSH / IOSH certification
