ROAD SAFETY OFFICER

We are seeking an experienced Road and Safety Coordinator to support our Oil & Gas EPC projects. The role will focus on transportation safety and road risk management, with a strong emphasis on IVMS data management, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will play a key role in implementing road safety programs, journey management systems, and transport safety initiatives in line with company and regulatory requirements.

YOUR ROLE

As a Road Safety Officer you will:

• Implement and manage road safety and transport safety systems for Oil & Gas EPC projects
• Monitor, analyze, and generate IVMS data reports and performance dashboards
• Conduct HSE, transport safety, and road safety inductions for employees, drivers, and contractors
• Deliver HSE awareness sessions and road safety campaigns for the workforce
• Understand, implement, and monitor Journey Management Plans (JMP)
• Participate in and contribute to transport safety and road safety risk assessments
• Conduct vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with safety devices and standards
• Support implementation of transport emergency response plans and procedures
• Prepare and deliver road safety awareness training materials
• Maintain transport safety databases, records, and documentation
• Liaise with project teams to ensure compliance with company HSE and transport safety requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• Minimum of 4-6 years of hse experience in any industry, but EPC O&G industry will be advantageous
• Minimum 1 year of direct experience managing and implementing road safety programs, with a specific focus on IVMS data generation, monitoring, and reporting

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in any discipline

Certifications/Licenses

• Valid UAE Driving License
• NEBOSH

Expertise

• Strong working knowledge of IVMS software and reporting tools
• Ability to conduct HSE and transport safety inductions and orientations
• Awareness of H₂S hazards and breathing apparatus (where applicable)
• Solid understanding of vehicle safety devices and fleet safety requirements
• Ability to prepare road safety awareness and training materials
• Knowledge of transport emergency response planning and procedures
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills
• Ability to maintain accurate databases and generate analytical safety reports
