Coffee Roasting & Beverage Craftsmanship

• Roast coffee with accuracy, consistency, and respect for Ocho’s roast profiles.
• Develop, prepare, and refine specialty beverages including espresso drinks, teas, matcha, and signature creations that align with Ocho’s clean, modern aesthetic.
• Monitor roast quality, taste profiles, and batch performance through consistent cupping and evaluation.

Barista Excellence & Customer Experience

• Execute beverages with expert technique, clean presentation, and brand-consistent precision.
• Deliver warm, professional, guest‑focused customer service.
• Consolidate, present, and serve pastries and food items with care and consistency.
• Maintain a calm, efficient, and organized bar workflow even during peak hours.
• Coffee & Beverage making (all classic coffee, Matcha, Seasonal Beverages)

Cleaning & Daily Maintenance

• Maintain an exceptionally clean, tidy, and organized workspace at all times—reflecting Ocho’s minimalist brand standard.
• Perform daily (hourly), weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks including:
• Espresso machine cleaning and backflushing
• Grinder cleaning and calibration
• Roasting equipment cleaning and maintenance
• Dishwashing, surface sanitization, floor care
• Organized restocking and inventory upkeep
• Ensure all equipment and café areas meet Ocho’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and presentation.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

• Demonstrate a self‑starter mindset with the ability to work independently and proactively.
• Train new team members on beverage standards, customer experience, cleaning routines, and brand expectations.
• Communicate openly and work closely with teammates to maintain a smooth, cohesive operation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in specialty coffee beverage preparation and coffee roasting.
• Strong understanding of espresso extraction, milk texturing, roast theory, brewing methods, and flavor development.
• High level of organization, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and team-oriented approach.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain high standards under pressure.
• Commitment to quality, craft, and delivering an elevated customer experience.
• Cupping and sensory evaluation experience.
• Ability to assist in seasonal beverage development and menu refinement.
• Familiarity with espresso machine and roaster maintenance.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
