Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Robotic Operator as part of a tender submission for a Solar Power Plant project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of robotic systems used for photovoltaic (PV) panel inspection and cleaning, ensuring optimal system availability, performance, and compliance with OEM and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain robotic inspection and cleaning systems for photovoltaic panels at the solar power plant.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance of robotic systems in accordance with OEM manuals and instructions.
  • Monitor and control robotic system operations through the SCADA system from the control room.
  • Diagnose equipment faults, perform first-level troubleshooting, and coordinate with the OEM for advanced technical support as required.
  • Ensure robotic systems are maintained in an operational and ready-to-use condition.
  • Plan and schedule solar panel cleaning activities in accordance with OEM standards and project requirements.
  • Execute PV panel cleaning activities as per panel OEM instructions and site procedures.
  • Prepare and submit cleaning completion reports and system performance reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of robot operation, maintenance activities, and performance data.
  • Comply with all HSE policies, procedures, and safe working practices at the site.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in operating and maintaining robotic or related automated systems.
  • Proven experience in robotic system operation, monitoring, and maintenance, preferably within an industrial or renewable energy environment.
  • Experience working with SCADA-controlled systems is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills.
  • Ability to follow OEM manuals and standard operating procedures.
  • Good understanding of automated and electromechanical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a site-based environment.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Strong awareness of HSE requirements and safe working practices.
  • Ability to work in outdoor and plant environments.
