The Robotics Teacher will introduce students of Classes III to VIII to robotics, coding, and STEM concepts through hands-on learning. The teacher will set up and manage the robotics lab, conduct engaging lessons, guide students in building robots, and prepare them for competitions, projects, and exhibitions.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Curriculum
- Teach robotics, basic programming, electronics, and STEM concepts suitable for Classes III–VIII
- Design age-appropriate lesson plans using hands-on activities and projects
- Introduce students to coding concepts (Scratch, Blockly, Arduino basics, or similar tools)
- Encourage creative thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork
- Conduct assessments, worksheets, and practical evaluations
Robotics Lab Management
- Set up, organize, and maintain the Robotics / STEM Lab
- Maintain robotics kits, sensors, tools, laptops, and software
- Ensure safe use of equipment and follow lab safety rules
- Prepare inventory lists and suggest new lab equipment when required
Student Projects & Competitions
- Guide students in robotics projects, models, and experiments
- Prepare students for inter-school competitions, exhibitions, and science fairs
- Mentor robotics clubs and after-school STEM activities
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with school management and academic coordinators
- Submit lesson plans, progress reports, and student performance records
- Conduct robotics demonstrations for parents, teachers, and visitors
- Support teacher training sessions if required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Electronics, or STEM Education
- Certification in Robotics / Coding / STEM Education (preferred)
- Experience working with school-level students (Grades 3–8)
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of educational robotics kits (LEGO, Arduino, micro:bit, etc.)
- Basic programming knowledge (Scratch, Python basics, Arduino IDE, etc.)
- Ability to explain complex concepts in simple language
- Classroom management skills for young learners
- Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for teaching
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience setting up a robotics or STEM lab in a school
- Experience in conducting robotics workshops or camps
- Experience coaching students for robotics competitions
