About the Role
We’re seeking a hands-on Robotics Trainer to lead MD SCHOOL MANKROLA’s Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL)—designing engaging STEM/Robotics experiences, mentoring student projects, and driving innovation culture across Grades 5–12.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Mentoring (≈60%)
- Deliver structured modules in electronics, programming, robotics, IoT, and design thinking (e.g., sensors, actuators, motor drivers, basic mechanics).
- Teach using platforms such as Arduino, micro:bit/ESP32, block & text coding (Scratch/Python), and intro Raspberry Pi (as applicable).
- Guide prototype cycles: ideation → CAD (Tinkercad/Fusion 360) → fabrication (3D printing/laser-cut vendors) → testing → demo.
- Maintain student portfolios, rubrics, and project documentation.
Lab Operations & Safety (≈25%)
- Manage ATL inventory, consumables, and equipment upkeep (3D printer calibration, tools, soldering stations).
- Implement and enforce lab safety SOPs; conduct tool inductions.
- Keep asset registers, session logs, and ATL portal/MIS updated; support audits and reporting.
Competitions & Community (≈15%)
- Coach teams for ATL Marathon, CBSE Science Exhibition, WRO/FLL/MakeX/IRC (as relevant).
- Curate showcases, exhibitions, and parent/community demo days.
- Collaborate with teachers to run cross-curricular STEM projects and clubs.
Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s in ECE/EEE/ME/CS/Robotics or equivalent; strong practical tinkering skills.
- 1–3+ years school/studio/ATL facilitation experience.
- Working proficiency with Arduino/micro:bit, basic electronics, prototyping tools, and Python/Scratch.
- Comfort operating/maintaining 3D printers and basic CAD.
- Clear communication in English; Hindi proficiency preferred.
- Child-safeguarding mindset and willingness to work peak school/event hours.
- Willingness to relocate to Gurugram (on-site role).
Good to Have
- Certifications/workshops in robotics, embedded systems, or maker education.
- Exposure to Raspberry Pi, ESP32/IoT, basic PCB design, or simple CNC/laser workflows.
- Prior success in student competitions and grant/report compliance (ATL/NITI Aayog).
KPIs (Guidance)
- Sessions delivered per month & student attendance/engagement.
- Number/quality of prototypes (working demos, documentation, presentations).
- Competition participation & outcomes; ATL Marathon submissions.
- Lab uptime & safety compliance; on-time ATL records/reports.
Working Hours & Reporting
- 6-day school week; event days as required.
- Reports to: ATL In-charge / Academic Coordinator.
