Roll-Off Commercial Driver's License Driver/General Laborer

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Roll-Off Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic team. Expertise in roll-off dumpster trucks as well as other commercial vehicles and mechanical/maintenance knowledge will ensure safe, efficient, and reliable delivery and pickup services.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate roll-off trucks, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload containers/material
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure optimal operation and safety standards are met
• Drive heavy-duty trucks with manual transmissions across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups, over 21 is preferred
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials efficiently while maintaining proper load balance and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly
• Assist in yard activities such as unloading customers, loading material, maintenance of both equipment and the facility

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license specific to roll-off trucks and heavy-duty vehicles
• Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as front loaders, rear loaders, straight trucks, and tractor-trailers
• Ability to perform manual lifting of heavy loads safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
• Skilled in operating manual transmission vehicles with precision and control
• Knowledge of load securing techniques to prevent shifting or damage during transit
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, adherence to traffic laws, and defensive driving techniques
• Experience in delivery operations involving load & unload procedures for bulk materials or waste management

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
