Job Purpose
- Manage and supervise all the technical process for the different sub-section of roll shop, including Roll/guides machining, Rolls / guides assembly and Roll control and consumables, to achieve the targeted production plan figures.

Processes and Production Schedule Oversight
- Manage and supervise all the technical process for the different sub-section of roll shop (Roll/guides machining, Rolls / guides assembly, Roll control and consumables) to achieve the targeted production plan figures and coordination with other departments / sections to achieve the section / company goals.
- Identify initiatives and process improvements to minimize costs through effective utilization of roll shop manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
- Ensuring all positions within the roll shop are properly staffed and coordinated into regular shifts to perform duties effectively.
- Manage to achieve the targeted product quality figures nominated in company annual plan.
- Follow up the plant maintenance activities to avoid shop / plant interruption and achieve the targeted plant availability.
- Implement Safety and Housekeeping procedure.
- Implement company policy and maintain discipline.
Financial Oversight
- Define the Roll shop annual budget figure and follow up the procurement of the requested consumables and spare parts.
- Define and implement cost reduction plans.
Key Result Areas (KRA)
- Establishment of effective operations processes for the roll shop area.
- Achieved process improvements and increases in productivity.
- Level of coordination and teamwork with other departments including maintenance and procurement.
- Achievement of fully staffed, regular and stable shift schedules for rolling mill employees.
- Achievement of department targets for delays reduction and Cost per Ton.
- Budget variance (%).
Reporting and Manuals
- Follow up and report on the execution of roll shop share in production plan achievement.
- Review and approve plant trouble shooting manual for the roll shop which covers all roll shop process / working areas and how to avoid frequent troubles and coordinate with Maintenance department experts.
- Review and approve ISO procedure and safe working procedures.
Policy and Standards Compliance
- Follow up and supervise the preparation of roll shop work standard and enforce compliance with company standards and policies.
- Keep the roll shop clean and enforce HSE standards to protect personnel and equipment.
- Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas in the roll shop floor.
Motivation and Employee Relations
- Provide strong leadership to the employees at the plants, ensuring high morale, team work and good employee relations, at all levels.
- Motivate subordinates through training programs, enhance their skills and generate competition spirit to reach the international performance standard.
- Assure that employee grievances are addressed in a timely fashion.
Communications & Working RelationshipsInternal

- Contractors, equipment suppliers and services providers.
Qualifications, Experience & SkillsQualifications
- University degree in Mechanical / Production engineering.
Experience
- 15 years’ experience at a senior level in a similar steel manufacturing environment (Roll Shop).
Skills
- Strong results oriented day today management skills.

- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good English oral and written communication skills.
- Good computer skills – proficient Microsoft Office user.
