Rolling Machine Technician

A Rolling Machine Technician is responsible for operating, setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting rolling machines used to bend or shape metal sheets, plates, or pipes. The technician ensures machines run efficiently and safely while producing components that meet quality and dimensional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate plate, sheet, or pipe rolling machines according to specifications
• Set up machine parameters such as pressure, speed, and alignment
• Read and interpret technical drawings and job instructions
• Monitor rolling operations to ensure accuracy and surface quality
• Inspect finished components using measuring tools
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on rolling machines
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues
• Maintain production records and report defects or malfunctions
• Follow safety procedures and workplace standards

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience operating rolling machines in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of metal forming processes and material properties
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with measuring instruments (vernier calipers, gauges, micrometers)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and quality control
• Physical ability to handle materials and stand for extended periods
