Rolling Stock Engineer

Reports to: MEP Manager

Location: Egypt (On-site)

Industry: Rail projects

• Create and oversee the manufacturing process of rail vehicles, including Metrorail or Monorail.
• Witness Rolling Stock testing as per approved procedures and best industrial practices.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of rolling stock to ensure they meet safety and quality standards. Plan and implement repair work as necessary.
• Supervise modifications and resolve technical issues that arise during the Verification & Validation and Warranty stage. Investigating and diagnosing the root causes of mechanical and electrical failures and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure all rolling stock complies with relevant technical and safety standards, as well as industry regulations.
• Work closely with other engineering teams and departments to optimize fleet utilization and performance.

• Bachelor's university degree in Mechanical/ Electrical engineering .
• Excellent command of English Language is a must .
• 10 to 15 years' experience.
• Railway/Metro experience.
• Site Experience.
• Testing and Commissioning experience is a must .
• Familiar with the rolling stock life cycle, including design performance, manufacturing, testing & commissioning, warranty, maintenance and safety processes.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills to address technical challenges effectively.
Good working knowledge/hands-on on MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Working experience on Aconex will be added advantage.
