Roof Inspector & Service Technician

About the Role

At MARASUN, we pride ourselves on delivering solar and roofing excellence with a human touch. We are looking for a Roof Inspector who is part technical expert, part problem-solver, and part customer advocate.

You won’t just be looking at shingles; you’ll be the face of MARASUN for homeowners, helping them understand the health of their roof, performing essential "quick-fix" repairs, and ensuring our larger projects stay on track. If you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy a role that balances field work with project coordination, we want to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Homeowner Consultation: Meet with clients to discuss their concerns, explain inspection findings, and provide honest, professional recommendations.
  • Comprehensive Inspections: Conduct thorough assessments of residential roofing systems to identify leaks, structural damage, or wear and tear.
  • Minor Repairs: Perform "on-the-spot" basic repairs (e.g., replacing shingles, roof tune ups, or clearing debris) to provide immediate value to the customer.
  • Project Management Support: Assist the production team by documenting job site requirements, ordering specific materials, and checking in on active installs to ensure quality standards.
  • Documentation: Utilize digital tools to take photos, create detailed inspection reports, and provide accurate estimates for larger repair or replacement projects.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Roofing Expertise: Proven experience in roofing installation, inspection, or repair (residential experience preferred).
  • The "Handyman" Edge: Proficiency with basic roofing tools and the ability to safely climb ladders and navigate various roof pitches.
  • Customer First Mentality: Exceptional communication skills—you can translate "technical roof talk" into plain English for homeowners.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage your own schedule and keep project notes organized and up to date.
  • Safety Conscious: A strict commitment to OSHA safety standards and fall protection protocols.
