Duties

• Install new roofing systems using a variety of materials such as shingles, metal, membrane, or tile according to project specifications and blueprints
• Repair and replace damaged or aging roofs to extend their lifespan and improve performance
• Conduct thorough inspections of roofing structures to identify issues early and recommend appropriate solutions
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure precise installation and repairs
• Coordinate with project managers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution
• Apply caulking, flashing, waterproofing membranes, and other sealing techniques to prevent leaks and water intrusion

Requirements

• Proven experience in roofing installation, repair, or maintenance on commercial or residential projects
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles and construction estimating processes
• Familiarity with construction inspection standards to ensure quality control
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
• Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels as well as power tools like drills and saws
• Experience with concrete forming, plastering, stucco application, masonry work, and fabrication is a plus
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and working at heights
• Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems related to roofing components is advantageous
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
