Job Overview
The Roofing Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspectd of the roofing project, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. This role involves coordinating with subcontractors, communication with clients, and ensuring that each project aligns with safety regulations, client expectations, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project planning and scheduling:
- Develop project timelines, including deadlines for each phase.
- Coordinate with crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure resource availability.
- Review blueprints and technical documents to assess project requirements.
2. Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Create and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial goals.
- Approve expenditures and monitor costs to prevent budget overruns.
- Identify and address any potential financial risks or cost savings.
3. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Inspect materials, tools, and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure projects meet local building codes, OSHA regulations, and safety standards.
- Conduct site inspections to maintain high standards and ensure safety.
4. Client and Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide regular updates on project status, timelines, and any issues that arrise.
- Address client concerns and feedback, ensuring customer satisfaction.
5. Team Management and Coordination:
- Manage on-site crews and subcontractors, ensuring clear roles and responsiblities.
- Lead safety meetings, training, and regular briefings for team alignment.
- Monitor team performance, providing feedback and support as necessary.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project records, including work orders, permits, and safety documentation.
- Generate reports on project progress, budget, and any incidents or challenges.
- Complete final project evaluations and assist in billing and closing out projects.
7. Problem Solving and Adaptability:
- Identify and address any project challenges or delays.
- Adapt schedules and resources to stay on track with project goals.
- Make on-the-spot decisions to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Experience 3-5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in roofing or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (preferred) or relevant certifications.
- Skills: Strong understanding of roofing materials, methods, and safety protocols. Excellent communication, organzational, and leadership skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
- Certifications: OSHA certification, PMP or similar poject management certification (preferred)
- Physical Requirements: Ability to inspect job sites, climb ladders, and lift materials as needed.
