Position Summary

The Service & Repair Technician is responsible for performing high-quality roof inspections,

warranty repairs, and small-scale service work with precision, professionalism, and a customer-

first attitude. This role serves as the critical link between RoofX’s reputation for craftsmanship

and our long-term commitment to customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has hands-on roofing experience, strong problem-solving skills, and takes

pride in clean, organized, and efficient work. You’ll represent RoofX in the field, ensuring that

every customer interaction reflects our core values of Integrity, Teamwork, and Customer

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Diagnosis

  • Conduct detailed inspections for leaks, warranty claims, or customer service requests.
  • Diagnose root causes accurately, documenting findings

in JobNimbus and CompanyCam with photos and notes.

  • Verify completed jobs for quality assurance when assigned by the Production Manager.

Repairs & Maintenance

  • Perform small- to medium-scale roof, gutter, and flashing repairs following RoofX

quality standards.

  • Ensure materials and tools are prepared prior to each service visit; communicate needs

promptly to the Production Coordinator.

  • Complete warranty and punch list work within expected timelines and with zero call-

backs.

Customer Communication

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with homeowners to explain findings and next

steps.

  • Maintain a professional demeanor, appearance, and tone at all times.• Encourage customer feedback and assist with review requests upon job completion.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Upload before/during/after photos, time logs, and materials used for every job

in JobNimbus.

  • Tag and categorize all warranty or callback jobs accurately for reporting.
  • Immediately report safety, quality, or customer satisfaction concerns to the Production

Manager.

Team Collaboration

  • Support Project Managers on punch-list completion and pre-final inspections.
  • Partner with Production Coordinator to ensure service work is properly scheduled and

tracked.

  • Provide feedback on recurring workmanship or vendor issues to improve processes.

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to all RoofX safety policies, PPE standards, and OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in clean, functional condition; report issues immediately.
  • Complete required safety inspections and documentation before job start.

Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • Service/Repair Completion Rate: ≥ 90% on time
  • Customer Satisfaction Rating: ≥ 4.8 stars average
  • Warranty Recurrence Rate: ≤ 5%
  • Documentation Accuracy (JobNimbus/CompanyCam): 100%
  • Same-Day Photo & Note Uploads: 100% compliance

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of residential roofing or exterior service experience
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-up, and accountability
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and teammates
  • Proficient with smartphones/tablets and mobile job apps (JobNimbus or similar)

Preferred:• Prior warranty or service technician experience

  • Experience with multiple roofing systems (asphalt shingle, metal, flat, etc.)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 75 lbs, and work safely at heights.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Regularly required to stand, kneel, bend, and reach during jobsite inspections.

Work Environment

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays during peak season.
  • Company vehicle, tools, and uniforms provided.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week
