Position Overview:
The Room Attendant at Hotel Effie plays a key role in providing guests with a luxurious and memorable experience by ensuring that guest rooms and public spaces are impeccably clean, well-organized, and welcoming. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to high standards of cleanliness, and the ability to deliver outstanding guest service in a sophisticated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean, sanitize, and organize guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to the highest luxury standards.
• Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and amenities as per hotel standards.
• Dust, polish, and vacuum floors, furniture, and other surfaces.
• Replenish guest room supplies, including toiletries, towels, and coffee amenities.
• Empty trash and remove any room service trays or debris.
• Handle guest requests promptly, professionally, and courteously.
• Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are maintained and report any maintenance issues or lost items.
• Follow strict health and safety protocols, including COVID-19-related guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and ensure a secure and safe environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing/Walking: Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods (up to 8 hours) per shift.
• Lifting/Carrying: Lift and carry items up to 30 pounds regularly, such as linens, cleaning supplies, and other room amenities. Occasionally lift items up to 50 pounds.
• Bending/Kneeling: Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling are required to reach low surfaces, clean bathrooms, and make beds.
• Reaching/Stretching: Ability to reach overhead and stretch to clean high surfaces, such as mirrors and fixtures.
• Pushing/Pulling: Frequently push and pull carts loaded with supplies and linens, with weights up to 75 pounds.
• Hand Dexterity: Requires frequent use of hands and arms for cleaning tasks, restocking, and detailed organization.

Qualifications:

• Prior housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel or high-end resort is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Good communication skills and ability to understand and respond to guest needs effectively.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
