Room Attendant- The Shoal

THE OPPORTUNITY / LA OPORTUNIDAD:

We are currently seeking an experienced Hotel Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping Department team at The Shoal La Jolla.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Check housekeeping cart for supplies, stock as needed
• Greet guests immediately with friendly/sincere acknowledgment.
• MUST have open availability on weekends
• Strip dirty linens/towels and remove used amenities from room/suite.
• Clean rooms/ suites, as assigned, which includes: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and washing windows/tracks.
• Reports rooms as clean and available.
• Reports maintenance deficiencies in order to maintain the room in compliance with hotel standards.
• Replenish linen and guest amenities.
• Clean balconies, if applicable.
• Respond to special requests by guests (such as providing extra amenities or service time requests.

RESPONSABILIDADES DEL TRABAJO:

• Verifique que el carro de limpieza tenga todo los suministros necesarios para hacer el trabajo durante el día.
• DEBE tener disponibilidad abierta los fines de semana
• Saludar los huéspedes inmediatamente, creando un ambiente sincera y de agradecimiento.
• Sacar sabanas y toallas sucias y quitar las amenidades usadas de la habitación.
• Limpiar habitaciones asignados, que incluye: hacer las camas, limpieza de baños, sacudir, aspirar y lavar las ventanas.
• Informar al gerente del hotel cuales habitaciones están limpias y disponibles
• Informar sobre deficiencias en mantenimiento, con el fin de mantener el hotel en conformidad con las normas del hotel.
• Reponer sabanas en las camas y amenidades a las habitaciones asignadas para limpiar.
• Limpiar los balcones, si procede.
• Responder a las peticiones de los huéspedes (tales como proporcionar servicios o amenidades adicionales).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• High school degree or equivalent.
• MUST have open availability on weekends
• The ideal candidate will have at least one (1) to two (2) years of Housekeeping experience
• Prefer the candidate have prior experience working in a hotel/resort.
• Pleasant demeanor
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Must have the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and directly with guests using a positive, clear speaking voice.
• Must be willing and available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

CALIFICACIONES y REQUISITOS DEL TRABAJO:

• Diploma de escuela secundaria o equivalente.
• El candidato ideal tendrá por lo menos una (1) a dos (2) años de experiencia en limpieza en un hotel o resort.
• Personal agradable.
• DEBE tener disponibilidad abierta los fines de semana
• Disfrute del trabajo en un ambiente movido.
• Positivo, optimista y la clase de persona que puede ofrecer la satisfacción total a los huéspedes.
• Capacidad para manejar situaciones estresantes con calma y profesionalidad.
• Debe tener la capacidad de comunicarse de manera clara, con eficaz y directamente con los huéspedes mediante una voz positiva y clara.
• Debe estar dispuesto y disponible para trabajar durante los días laborables, los fines de semana y días festivos.
