Job Title: Contract ROS Engineer – Autonomous Drone Project (On-Site, Mumbai)
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra (On-Site Only)
Contract Duration: 1–2 Months
Project Type: Short-term, high-impact R&D engagement

About the Project:
We are building a fully autonomous drone system using DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise integrated with Jetson SBC for onboard AI and real-time decision-making. This is a fast-paced development sprint focused on real-world deployment, not academic simulation.
If you live in ROS, understand UAV autonomy, and can ship working systems under pressure — this role is for you.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on Embedded Engineer with strong experience in firmware development, hardware debugging, and system integration.

You’ll work across STM32, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi platforms, develop ROS-based robotic systems, and guide junior engineers through real-world IoT and robotics projects.

This is a technical leadership role — you won’t just write code, you’ll drive the complete journey from concept → prototype → product.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and implement ROS/ROS2 nodes for autonomous drone operation
  • Integrate Jetson SBC with onboard sensors, vision systems, and flight data
  • Implement navigation, obstacle avoidance, and mission planning
  • Work with DJI drone data streams and telemetry
  • Optimize real-time performance for embedded AI workloads
  • Field test, debug, and deploy on physical hardware

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in embedded systems development.
  • DJI SDK / UAV telemetry experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2
  • Solid Linux + C++ + Python for robotics systems
  • Experience with Jetson Nano / NVIDIA embedded platforms
  • Understanding of UAV dynamics, navigation, and perception pipelines
  • Experience with OpenCV / depth sensing / SLAM / autonomy stacks
  • Ability to debug real hardware (no “sim-only” engineers)

Bonus Skills

  • MAVLink / PX4 / ArduPilot understanding
  • Deep learning inference on edge devices
  • Experience with real-world robotics deployment.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools like Fusion 360 or SolidWorks.

Why Join Us

  • Cutting-edge autonomous drone system
  • Real hardware, real flight, real deployment
  • High visibility, fast execution
  • Strong portfolio-grade project

Job Types: Part-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
