Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience with rotating machinery engineering in industrial projects.
- Practical exposure to equipment fabrication, installation, inspection, and commissioning activities.
- Knowledge of technical specifications, vendor documentation, and engineering deliverables for rotating equipment.
- Ability to evaluate supplier proposals, technical documents, and equipment performance data.
- Familiarity with project engineering processes, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
- Experience coordinating with vendors, procurement teams, construction teams, and other engineering disciplines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to technical detail.
- Proficiency in English; additional project-related languages are an advantage.
Tasks:
- Support the engineering lifecycle of rotating equipment from concept development through project completion.
- Provide technical input during feasibility studies, tenders, and equipment selection activities.
- Review equipment requirements, specifications, datasheets, and supplier documentation.
- Prepare technical inquiries, equipment documentation, and engineering reports.
- Assess vendor quotations and contribute to technical bid evaluations.
- Assist with cost, schedule, and resource planning for machinery-related activities.
- Coordinate interfaces between rotating equipment, process, electrical, piping, and construction teams.
- Review supplier drawings, calculations, manuals, and final documentation packages.
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and project coordination meetings.
- Support procurement, inspection, testing, and equipment acceptance activities.
- Assist site teams during installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning phases.
- Contribute to equipment improvements, lessons learned, and engineering best practices.
