Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical integrity programs by conducting predictive and preventive maintenance, interpreting mechanical measurements, and ensuring optimal equipment performance.

• Provide advanced technical support to maintenance and operations teams to diagnose complex mechanical issues and implement effective corrective actions.

• Develop and optimize asset strategies to improve machinery performance, reliability, and lifecycle efficiency.

• Supervise contractors, vendors, and subcontractors during maintenance, repair, and installation activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Review and validate maintenance procedures, technical documentation, and equipment specifications to ensure alignment with industry standards and company requirements.

• Coordinate shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance activities, ensuring proper planning, execution, and post‑maintenance evaluation.

• Monitor equipment performance trends, analyze failures, and recommend improvements to reduce downtime and enhance operational reliability.

• Ensure all mechanical maintenance activities comply with HSE policies, regulatory requirements, and best engineering practices.

• Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and performance analyses to support decision‑making and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability activities for rotating and static equipment, including compressors, turbines, pumps, heat exchangers, cooling towers, and cryogenic systems.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable

• 8 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a maintenance or production environment, and 5+ years in supervisory roles in the Oil & Gas Industry

• Experience with contractors, vendors, and implementation subcontractors in Mechanical maintenance of rotating & static equipment such as compressors, turbines, cryogenic pumps, heat exchangers, cooling water towers, cryogenic tanks, buffer tanks…etc.

• Thorough knowledge and experience in the maintenance/ troubleshooting of rotating and static equipment.

• Thorough knowledge, experience & Interpretation skills in Mechanical predictive measurements.

• Troubleshooting: Provide advanced technical guidance to maintenance and operations teams to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues.

• Asset Strategy Optimization / Performance Optimization of the machinery.

• Fluent in written and spoken English

• Advance computer knowledge

• Strong problem solving skills

• Ability to delegate some task and follow up on their completion

• Ability to stand for long periods
