Route Delivery Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Route Delivery Driver to join our team and deliver exceptional service to our customers. As a key member of our delivery operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods along designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer interactions. This role will also include some time in the shop loading and unloading goods. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 12' box truck to deliver products along assigned routes within the specified area.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
• Provide outstanding customer service by engaging positively with clients during deliveries, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally.
• Manage delivery documentation accurately, including delivery logs, receipts, and route sheets.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS or route maps to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards.
• Assist with warehouse activities when needed, including inventory management, stock organization, and housekeeping duties.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving experience in a commercial setting.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of goods safely; experience with forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Knowledge of local roads, traffic laws, and navigation tools for efficient route planning.
• Comfortable with physical activity involved in loading/unloading cargo and moving items as needed.
• Prior warehouse experience is beneficial but not required; training will be provided for specific equipment use such as forklifts or manual transmission vehicles. Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
