The Special Projects Librarian III is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects that support Library, Recreation Services, and City organizational goals. In collaboration with internal teams and external partners, the Special Projects Librarian III ensures successful project outcomes at the Boca Raton Public Library (BRPL), an innovative two-branch municipal library. This position supervises a creative and knowledgeable team of professional and paraprofesional personnel and is supported by a dynamic, collaborative leadership team to help bring the best of the library to the community – both inside and outside of our buildings.
- A master's degree in library science or information science from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association

Three (3) years of experience in professional library work

Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Possession of a valid State of Florida Class "E" driver’s license with no more than six (6) points in a three (3) year period

May be required to work on-call, evening, or weekend shifts as needed.

Essential Employee Designation
When normal operations of City departments are suspended or interrupted due to a declaration of a state of emergency, any employee may be deemed essential by the City. For the preparation and/or continuation of emergency operations or for special work detail, employees deemed necessary shall be required to work.
