Ruby on Rails Engineer

DevsLane is looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer with at least 3 years of hands-on experience to work on production-grade applications for our clients. This role requires strong backend fundamentals, clean coding practices, and the ability to take responsibility for features end-to-end.

You will work closely with senior engineers, product stakeholders, and frontend teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Ruby on Rails applications
• Design and build RESTful APIs and backend services
• Work on database design, queries, and performance optimization (PostgreSQL / MySQL)
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following Rails best practices
• Debug production issues and contribute to long-term system stability
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features reliably

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails
• Strong understanding of Rails MVC architecture, ActiveRecord, and conventions
• Experience with REST APIs, background jobs, and third-party integrations
• Solid understanding of SQL databases
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Ability to work independently with an ownership mindset

Eligibility & Experience

• Exposure to frontend technologies (React / basic JavaScript)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Heroku)
• Familiarity with RSpec / Minitest
• Experience working with international clients or startups

Compensation Range: INR 10-15 LPA (based on candidature and profile)

Working Days & Shifts: Monday to Friday (11 am to 8 pm)
