Summary

  • To ensure delivery of food orders to customers are quick and accurately done.

  • To uphold sanitation and food safety principles.

  • Bus tables by removing dirty dishes and trash.

  • To check in with customers and ensure their experience is satisfactory.

  • To relay reports of customer satisfaction to the management and relevant parties.

  • To ensure patrons have all the appropriate tableware they need to properly enjoy their food.

  • To assist setting up tables before service with appropriate utensils, napkins and decorations.

  • To handle various impromptu requests from customers.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, though often not strictly required with relevant experience.
  • Any relevant food handler or hygiene certifications (e.g., local health department certificates) are a plus.
  • Previous experience (3-6 months minimum) in a restaurant, banquet, or high-volume food service setting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with basic dining room and kitchen operations, including plate identification, service etiquette, and clearing procedures.
  • Must be able to carry and balance heavily loaded service trays
  • Clear and professional verbal communication to accurately relay information
