Rural Carrier Associate

Job Overview
The Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of mail and packages to rural areas. This position requires a dedicated individual who is comfortable driving various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans, while providing exceptional customer service. The RCA is responsible for managing the delivery process, which includes loading and unloading mail, navigating rural routes, and maintaining a high standard of service. This position requires a right hand side vehicle for mail delivery.

Duties

• Deliver mail and packages to designated rural routes in a timely manner.
• Operate vehicles with manual transmission as necessary.
• Load and unload mail from the vehicle efficiently.
• Ensure accurate delivery by verifying addresses and handling packages with care.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with customers during deliveries.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance checks as needed.
• Assist in moving heavy items when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the delivery process.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience in customer service is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with driving various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans.
• Experience with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of the loading/unloading process.
• Prior experience as a courier or delivery driver is beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate deliveries.
• Must be comfortable navigating rural areas and adapting to changing conditions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.38 - $20.39 per hour
