Key Responsibilities:1. Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee water treatment, storage, and distribution systems to ensure consistent service.
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to pipelines, pumps, meters, and related infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and respond promptly to emergencies such as leaks, outages, or contamination events.
2. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all water quality testing, reporting, and documentation meet state and federal requirements.
- Maintain accurate operational records and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.
- Stay informed on changes in water regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
3. Financial & Administrative Management
- Develop and manage the annual budget, including forecasting expenses and revenues.
- Oversee billing, collections, and customer account management.
- Prepare financial and operational reports for the Board of Directors.
4. Leadership & Personnel Management
- Supervise, train, and evaluate staff to ensure high performance and safety compliance.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants as needed.
5. Community & Board Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing concerns and service requests.
- Attend Board meetings, provide updates, and recommend operational improvements.
- Promote public awareness of water conservation and district initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or public administration preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in water utility operations or management.
- Knowledge of water treatment processes, distribution systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours.
Work Environment:
- Combination of office and field work.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and occasional hazardous environments.
- Requires on-call availability for emergencies.
Compensation package includes:
