The Company

TRM Innovative Hearth Products is the buyout of several companies that have been merged throughout the years including but not limited to Fireplace Manufacturers Inc., (FMI), and Lennox Industries Hearth Division. The aggregate company included rollups of Marco; Superior Fireplace, which began in the 1930s; stove and insert companies including Country Stoves, established in 1977. FMI, a subsidiary of Desa, rolled up Design Dynamics in vented and vent-free logs in the early 2003 timeframe. Subsequently, the management team from the FMI segment of Desa acquired the assets of their division in 2008. On January of 2023 TRM Equity groups completely purchased IHP and created TRM Innovative Hearth Products.

Job Description:

The Human Resources Manager, is responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department. Their duties include hiring HR personnel, managing the hiring and onboarding procedures for other company employees and coordinating with members of their department to provide support to company employees regarding personal and professional incidents. The RV HR Manager behavior that supports IHP values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assessing reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs.
  • Suggesting changes in policies and procedures based on employee and company needs.
  • Researching compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits.
  • Creating recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws.
  • Supervising all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team.
  • Attending interdepartmental meetings with other managers.
  • Overseeing exit interviews and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with various employment laws and regulations, such as EEOC, MCHR, FLSA, FMLA, etc.
  • Examines turnover/retention data, exit interviews, quantifying reasons for resignations, identifying trends, patterns, gaps and reconciling as needed.
  • Leads recruiting team to source qualified active and passive candidates at the earliest opportunity, leveraging social media, presenting the organization as the employer of choice, driving hiring managers, and efficiently attracting the best available tal


Qualifications:

  • At least five years of previous Human Resources experience is required.
  • At least two years of previous experience in leading other Human Resources professionals is required.
  • Experience or familiarity with HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now)
  • Experience or familiarity with community care behavioral health and substance use based program.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management
  • Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds. This includes having the ability to influence management when appropriate.
  • Able to champion new ideas, manage change, and execute on action plans.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strategic thinker who can see long-term goals and balance against short and intermediate term needs.
Must Have:
  • Bachelor s degree (B.A.) or equivalent, five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.


Language Ability:

Position requires fluency in English. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
