What You Will Do

As a Safety and Security Officer , you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and team members throughout the community.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting regular safety and security inspections of the community including common areas, resident corridors, parking areas, and building entrances
• Patrolling community buildings and grounds to ensure safety and prevent unauthorized access
• Checking doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure
• Monitoring for and reporting safety hazards such as fire risks, water leaks, or unsecured areas
• Investigating and documenting incidents, suspicious activity, or safety concerns
• Responding to security calls, alarms, and on-site emergencies until assistance arrives
• Assisting with emergency response procedures according to community policy
• Securing or unlocking buildings and areas as needed
• Notifying emergency services when necessary
• Ensuring outdoor furniture and fixtures are secured during inclement weather
• Delivering packages to residents throughout the community
• Assisting with other safety or security duties as needed
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Strong observation and communication skills
• Ability to respond calmly and professionally in emergency situations
• Reliable, responsible, and service-oriented mindset
• Ability to walk and patrol the community campus
• Valid driver’s license may be required
