Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor company safety policies and procedures in compliance with UAE and international regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
• Provide safety training and toolbox talks to employees and contractors.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to develop safe work plans and permit-to-work systems.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and records.
• Support emergency response planning and conduct drills.
• Liaise with government authorities, consultants, and contractors regarding safety compliance and inspections.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE laws, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, training, and report-writing skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and safety management systems.
