Safety Engineer - Fit out works

• Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
• Coordinate with safety manager and contractors for the improvement & implementation of corporate HSE management ethics.
• Monitor contractors to ensure the implementation of applicable safety measures at site to full fill Legal and client requirements.
• Review Site safety Plan, Emergency plan, and other safety related plans submitted by the contractor. Review Method Statement and risk analysis for all activities and monitor the effectiveness of hazard control measures. Carry out HSE inspections and report to resident engineer for immediate rectification.
• Review and monitor contractors monthly HSE inspections / reports.
• Conducting monthly Safety meetings, setting the target to achieve the outstanding issues, prepare / submit the minutes to all concern to follow-up.
• Review emergency preparedness and response, permit to work system, Toolbox Talks, HSE statistics & records of the contractors according to company requirement.
• Review incident/accident investigation reports from contractors, reporting & communicating the learning points, and monitor the immediate action and follow-up actions to minimize / prevent from re-occurrence.
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate and deliver HSE training sessions for employees and contractors.
• Maintain and update HSE documentation and reports, including safety data sheets, incident logs, and compliance records.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure that all required licenses, permits, and safety standards are maintained.
• Promote a strong HSE culture through awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, and active employee engagement.
• Lead emergency response planning and participate in drills and simulations.
• Support sustainability initiatives and environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001).
• Monitor and report key HSE performance indicators (KPIs).
• Make sure that client’s safety requirements are being full filled.

• Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an HSE role.
• Airport experience is added advantage
• Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of HSE laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
