Safety Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Safety Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety programs. The Safety Engineer will identify hazards, ensure regulatory compliance, and work closely with engineering and operations teams to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify workplace hazards and perform risk assessments
• Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety regulations
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and job hazard analyses
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and corrective actions
• Design or recommend engineering and administrative controls to reduce risk
• Provide safety training for employees and contractors
• Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
• Collaborate with management to improve overall safety performance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
• Experience conducting safety inspections and incident investigations
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional safety certification (CSP, ASP, NEBOSH, or equivalent)
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, energy, or industrial environments
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 or other EHS management systems
