About the Program

Join us for a 12-week, hands-on internship experience where you’ll gain real-world exposure to the construction industry while contributing to meaningful projects that drive impact Boyd Jones Construction. Our interns are not here to “just observe” you’ll collaborate with experienced professionals, sharpen your skills, and leave with tangible accomplishments to add to your resume.

What You’ll Gain

Key Responsibilities…

Assist in administering company safety programs to ensure safe work environments on job sites.
Participate in regular safety inspections and audits to identify and correct unsafe conditions.
Help maintain and update safety program documents, manuals, and training materials in compliance with OSHA and client requirements.
Support delivery of safety orientation and training sessions for employees and subcontractors.
Assist in investigating incidents and documenting findings.
Contribute to developing and recommending safety improvements or new prevention measures.
Help track safety metrics and prepare reports on safety performance.
Promote safety awareness and best practices among field teams.

What you’ll bring…

Qualifications

Current enrollment in Safety Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong interest in construction safety (vertical building or renewable energy).
Knowledge of basic OSHA guidelines preferred.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working in both field and office environments.

Work Environment

Primarily field-based with exposure to active construction sites.
May work in varying outdoor conditions including dust, noise, and changing weather.
PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety boots) required on site.
Travel to remote or out-of-state projects may be required.
