TCS Mechanical is seeking a site safety manager in the Austin TX office area. The individual in this position will work directly with the project management team, sub-contractors, and site safety management in the implementation of TCS Mechanical’s EHS Environmental health and safety program. The safety manager working with project team management, sub-contractors, and safety director in recognizing and addressing safety hazards and behaviors to achieve a positive safety culture, compliance, and implementation of TCS’ EHSP. The safety manager will also work closely with field leads to ensure proper pre planning of work for all appropriate work scope has been completed prior to any performing any work activity. The safety manager will be responsible in promoting and utilizing behavior-based safety practices to ensure team members are engaging in proactive safety policies and procedures.

Job responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Maintain Company and Facility specific Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards, programs and goals by learning and applying HSE procedures as established by the Company on a project site.
  • Promote HSE standards and goals on the project to promote a safe and productive work environment.
  • Conduct surveys, audits, evaluations, inspection reports, and investigations of incidents.
  • Maintains safety equipment inventories and performs periodic safety equipment inspections.
  • Foster and develop project management team with engagement in safety management processes.
  • Maintain project EHS safety files and documentation associated with training, certifications, environmental, investigation reporting to meet TCS’ record keeping policies.
  • Generate safety reports for project team to include safety trends, leading and lagging indicators to facilitate and foster proactive safety culture.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation, implementing safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, twist, bend, and lift 40 pounds
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner – meet safety schedule deadlines
  • Ability to smock up and work in a clean room environment
  • OSHA 30 Certification required, CSHO, CHST a plus
  • First Aid CPR trained
  • Competent Person, train the trainer, , and other certifications a plus
  • High School Education or above
  • 4 Years Experience in Safety Related Field
  • Familiar with Microsoft office suite
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screen
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
