Safety Manager - Transportation

FreightCore Inc is looking for an dedicated and reliable individual to assist in the Safety & compliance department for our asset-based portfolio companies. This position is Full time position and be based in South Holland, IL.

• Main point of contact for all safety issues within our company
• Daily auditing of drivers HOS and E-logs
• Documents, files, and track drivers in order to maintain driver qualification processes per DOT/FMCSA standards to ensure compliance.
• Ensures compliance with all company and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct accident investigations.
• Conduct initial interview and reviews.
• Manage insurance claim process and investigations.
• Responsible for ensuring inspections are done on all trucks, 18 wheelers and follow check list and educate/train all drivers that they must follow safety regulations.
• Implement and manage driver safety program.
• Assist other departments within the company by providing technical input and insight into regulatory requirements.
• Identify training needs and conduct proactive safety related training.
• Administer discipline for safety related violations.
• Identify technologies that can be leveraged to improve safety and recruiting operations.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Pass a post offer drug exam.
• Other duties assigned by Management.
