Job Title: Safety Officer

Location: Umm Al Quwain, UAE
Salary: AED 3,000 – 4,000 per month
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Role Purpose

The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing and maintaining Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards to ensure a safe workplace, compliance with UAE regulations, and prevention of accidents and injuries.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Compliance & Monitoring

• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.
• Identify hazards and unsafe practices; recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and UAE safety regulations.

Risk & Incident Management

• Perform risk assessments and support implementation of control measures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

Training & Awareness

• Conduct safety inductions for new employees.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions.
• Promote a positive safety culture across the workforce.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and risk assessments.
• Prepare daily/weekly HSE reports for management.
• Ensure all safety documentation is current and properly filed.

Equipment & Emergency Preparedness

• Monitor PPE usage and ensure availability of safety equipment.
• Support emergency drills, evacuation procedures, and fire safety practices.
• Coordinate with supervisors to address safety issues promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (HSE/Engineering/Environmental Science preferred).
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification (preferred).
• 1–3 years’ experience in a Safety/HSE role, ideally in construction or industrial environment.
• Good knowledge of UAE safety regulations.
• Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic MS Office.
