Job Summary
We are hiring a Safety Officer for a Solar / PV construction project in Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for ensuring full HSE compliance, safe site operations, and adherence to Saudi regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, plans, and procedures for Solar/PV works.
- Ensure compliance with KSA safety regulations, client HSE requirements, and international standards.
- Conduct daily site inspections, safety walks, and risk assessments.
- Identify and control hazards related to working at height, electrical works, lifting operations, and hot works.
- Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety training.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts; prepare reports and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices.
- Maintain HSE documentation (permits, JSA, method statements, inspection and incident records).
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and HSE representatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer in Solar / PV or renewable energy projects.
- Experience in construction site safety within KSA is preferred.
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification (mandatory).
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of Solar/PV site hazards and Saudi HSE regulations.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
Preferred
- Experience on utility-scale or large commercial Solar/PV projects.
- Additional HSE certifications.
