Safety Officer

Vision Interiors is turnkey Fit out company specializing in creating exceptional spaces for commercial, residential, and hospitality clients.

We are looking to expand our operations and are seeking an experienced and motivated Safety Officer to join our dynamic team.

A Safety Officer, or Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Officer, ensures a secure, compliant work environment by developing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and enforcing safety regulations. They inspect premises, investigate incidents, and conduct staff training to prevent accidents. Key roles involve identifying hazards, ensuring compliance with local/national regulations, and promoting a strong safety culture across all departments.

• Compliance and Policies: Develop, implement, and update company-wide safety policies, procedures, and OHS management systems.
• Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and, audits to identify and mitigate hazards, such as unsafe equipment or practices.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, injuries, and "near misses" to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Training and Promotion: Organize and deliver safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks to ensure staff are aware of safety protocols.
• Regulatory Liaison: Act as the liaison with regulatory bodies (e.g., OSHA) to ensure all legal and statutory requirements are met.
• Equipment Management: Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and that safety equipment is functional.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of Regulations: In-depth understanding of OHS guidelines, OSHA standards, and local health and safety legislation.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to assess risks, interpret data, and identify potential hazards.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to educate staff, train employees, and report to management.
• Detail-Oriented: Highly attentive to detail for conducting thorough inspections and documentation.
• Certification/Experience: Often requires a degree in safety management, engineering, or a related field, along with relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP).

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
