Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor workplace activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols and legal requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; compile reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct safety training and toolbox talks for employees and contractors.
  • Maintain and update safety documentation, reports, and records.
  • Ensure availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with management and employees to improve overall safety performance.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
  • Liaise with external agencies (e.g., fire department, labor inspectors) as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • NEBOSH / OSHA certification or equivalent (preferred).
  • Minimum of 4–5 years of relevant experience in a safety-related role.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and safety management software.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.

Working Conditions:

  • May involve working in high-risk environments (e.g., construction sites, factories).
  • Use of protective clothing and equipment may be required.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours or respond to emergencies.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: Up to AED5,500.00 per month
