Safety Officer

The Safety Officer ensures warehouse operations comply with all health, safety, environmental, JAFZA, and Trakhees regulations. Key duties include conducting risk assessments, providing staff safety training, developing emergency response plans, investigating incidents, and maintaining accurate safety documentation. The role also oversees environmental compliance, waste disposal, pest control, equipment inspections, chemical management, and required certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3 years’ experience as a Safety Officer
• English & Hindi proficiency
• NEBOSH certification (Preferred)

Job Description:

• Safety Compliance: Ensure the warehouse operates in accordance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential hazards. Develop and implement mitigation strategies.
• Training: Provide training and guidance to warehouse staff on safety protocols, procedures, and best practices.
• Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures. Conduct drills and ensure staff is prepared for emergencies.
• Incident Reporting: Investigate accidents and incidents, complete incident reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Environmental Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Develop and implement environmental management programs.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training programs.
• Safety Culture: Promote a strong safety culture within the warehouse by fostering awareness and accountability.
• Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect and maintain safety equipment and firefighting systems.

JAFZA related all Documentation

• Trakhees approved certificates e.g. - lifts, machineries
• Mock drills with emergency response exit route.
• Waste disposable all hazardous /non-hazardous approved by DM &EHS.
• Pest control trakhees approved.
• Occupational health card yearly
• Periodical/Annual maintaince contract for propane tank/Pine line
• List of chemical maintainace approved by EHS and approved chemical list

Experience: SAFETY OFFICER: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification: Nebosh Certificate (Preferred)

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,500.00 per month
