Safety Officer - Healthcare

Job Title: Safety Officer

Department: Quality / Risk Management
Reporting To: Quality Director

Job Purpose

Responsible for implementing and maintaining the Occupational Health & Safety (OSH) Management System in line with OSHAD and regulatory requirements, ensuring a safe working environment for staff, patients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor OSH policies, procedures, and safety programs across the facility.
  • Conduct workplace safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
  • Investigate staff, visitor, and environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHAD and other regulatory standards.
  • Deliver safety training and awareness programs to staff.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and safety audits.
  • Maintain OSH records, reports, KPIs, and safety documentation.
  • Act as a safety resource and liaison across departments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant safety experience (healthcare experience preferred).
  • Safety certifications (e.g. Certified Safety & Health Specialist, CPHQ) are an advantage.

Skills & Requirements

  • Knowledge of OSH regulations and safety management systems.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
