Safety Officer (Oil and Gas)

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our project in Dukhan, Qatar. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in oil and gas site safety, be well-versed with Qatar Labor Law and HSE regulations, and ensure full compliance with project safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies on site.
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all workers follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
• Prepare and maintain HSE reports, incident reports, and documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers and site engineers on safety matters.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and authorities regarding safety compliance.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in oil and gas industry.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Qatar.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations in Qatar.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to handle multiple site activities and ensure zero-incident culture.

Mandatory Certifications (Required):

• NEBOSH IGC (Mandatory)
• Valid Qatar ID
