Safety Officer – Oil & Gas

Contract Duration: 2–3 Months (Renewable Based on Client Requirement)

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our team for ongoing Oil & Gas projects. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of HSE regulations, site safety practices, and risk management within industrial and Oil & Gas environments.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the Oil & Gas industry
• Strong knowledge of HSE standards, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Experience in construction, shutdown, maintenance, or plant operations is an advantage
• Ability to conduct risk assessments, inspections, and incident investigations
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Capable of conducting toolbox talks and safety orientations
• Familiar with permit-to-work systems and emergency response procedures

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce company HSE policies and procedures
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and audits
• Identify workplace hazards and ensure corrective actions are completed
• Monitor compliance with PPE and safe work practices
• Prepare safety reports and documentation
• Conduct toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training sessions
• Coordinate with supervisors and site personnel to maintain a safe working environment
• Investigate incidents and recommend preventive measures

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in a related field preferred
• Valid Safety Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are preferred
• Strong understanding of Oil & Gas safety regulations and international standards
