Job Purpose

To ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free working environment in the warehouse by implementing safety policies, monitoring compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture among employees, contractors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies in the warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with Factories Act, Warehousing Safety Norms, OSHA guidelines, and local statutory requirements.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections of warehouse operations, material handling equipment, racking systems, forklifts, and loading/unloading areas.
  • Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and recommend corrective & preventive actions.
  • Ensure proper usage of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all employees and contract staff.
  • Conduct safety induction and toolbox talks for new joiners, contractors, and drivers.
  • Investigate accidents, near-miss incidents, and unsafe acts; prepare reports and implement preventive measures.
  • Maintain records of accidents, safety trainings, safety audits, fire drills, and mock drills.
  • Coordinate fire safety arrangements, emergency evacuation plans, and first-aid facilities.
  • Liaise with government authorities, auditors, and clients during safety audits and inspections.
  • Monitor housekeeping standards and ensure 5S and safe material stacking practices.
  • Ensure safety compliance during forklift operations, pallet movement, height work, and chemical handling.
  • Support management in achieving zero accident targets and continuous safety improvement.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma / Degree in Safety Management, Industrial Safety, or NEBOSH/IOSH (preferred).
  • 2–5 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, or industrial safety.
  • Good knowledge of warehouse safety standards and statutory compliances.
  • Strong communication and training skills.
  • Ability to identify risks and enforce safety discipline on the shop floor.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel & report preparation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
