Responsibilities

• Inspects equipment, tools, and working conditions to ensure safety of workers engaged in Oil & Gas Facilities, including safety belts, ladders, ropes, rubber goods, and tools, replacing those that do not meet safety requirements.
• Observes crews at work and reports laxity in safety precautions such as failure to use goggles, rubber gloves, and other safety devices.
• Examines conditions of ditches and tunnels and recommends use of braces to prevent cave-ins endangering workers. Investigates accidents to determine causes and devises preventive measures. May instruct workers in use of safety equipment and safe work methods.
• Ensures compliance with all safety procedures.
• Encourages reporting of unsafe acts and conditions.
• Complies with all SHE procedures prior to commencement and during work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years' experience in Oil & Gas maintenance - High School.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in Oil & Gas maintenance - Diploma.
• Strong technical understanding of maintenance jobs related to safety.
• Well organized and proactive with excellent communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills with large organizations.
• Ability to exercise mature judgment under pressure and resolve problems.
• Strategic management skills.
